Before: Before the storm, take a nature walk with your parents or an older brother or sister. Draw pictures of the different trees, plants, and other kinds of nature around your neighborhood. Write down your predictions on how the hurricane may affect the natural surroundings in your neighborhood. Give reasons for your predictions. 
During: Listen to the sounds of the wind and rain during the storm. Use your senses to write a Haiku or any other form of poetry about the hurricane. Try to use these words in your poem: wind, rain, storm, and hurricane.
After: Illustrate your poem and share your poem and picture with your family
